Halloween is just around the corner and Miramar is gearing up to celebrate throughout October.

If you’re looking to celebrate , be frightened or get a lot of candy, there are options for everyone to enjoy.

Here are several upcoming Halloween events that are family-friendly fun.

Trunk or Treat at Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse is hosting its annual trunk-or-treat event with lots of activities. From 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, enjoy a bounce house, pumpkin painting, a photo booth, snowcones, music and candy from decorated trunks. Attendees must dine in or order to-go to participate, and costumes are encouraged.

Horror Movie Trivia at World of Beer Bar and Kitchen

One of this restaurant’s many trivia nights now has a horror theme. Test your knowledge of slasher films and ghost stories at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Dance with the Stars: Halloween Zumba Masterclass

Get ready to dance in costume with a lineup of Zumba dance instructors. Attendees can dress up as their favorite celebrities and follow along with the dance moves from 6-9 p.m on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Sunset Lakes Community Center.

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Fall Festival at Memorial Hospital Miramar

This annual Halloween event has programs just for kids. You can trick-or-treat in costume at Memorial Hospital Miramar from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is also providing a pumpkin patch, photo booth, bounce house and Halloween-themed arts and crafts.

Halloween Night Hike at Miramar Pineland Park

Take a Halloween hike with the Sierra Club Florida chapter. Starting at twilight at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, grab a headlamp or flashlight and trek through Miramar Pineland Park. It’s a combination of slash pine forest and restored wetlands, and hikers will walk through grassy meadows and bare sandy spots in the dark led by a Broward County Park naturalist. Cost is $3 for members and $5 for non-members.

City of Miramar’s Happy Halloween Trick or Treat

The City of Miramar’s official Halloween event takes place from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Ansin Sports Complex. This is a free event where costumes are encouraged and free candy will be given out. Plus, live music and food trucks round out this family-friendly event.
