The Miramar Cultural Center is hosting an exclusive movie premiere that’s free to attend.

On Tuesday, Dec. 23, catch “A Taste of the Holiday” in the theater at 7 p.m. Guests can register for a seat on Eventbrite.

“It’s the perfect way to kick off the holidays surrounded by great vibes and festive fun,” the Eventbrite page reads.

The movie is a feel-good holiday tale, presented by Top Notch Vision Films, about a struggling Jamaican bakery owner played by Jamaican musical artist Spragga Benz.

Top Notch Vision Films has worked with Spragga Benz on previous films such as “Unbelievable” and “Second Chance,” both faith-based films. Their movies have appeared on streaming services Tubi and Amazon Prime.

The artist’s co-star is Taneisha Bernal, a chef and content creator based in Miami, who plays Patricia. She works as a private chef and caterer and has a YouTube channel with about 30,000 subscribers.

Bernal has been facilitating donations for Jamaicans in need after Hurricane Melissa ravaged the country, making landfall on Oct. 28 as the strongest recorded hurricane to hit the island.

“With hopes of giving his loyal team a Christmas bonus fading, a miracle arrives in the form of Patricia,” Spragga Benz wrote in an Instagram post. “Her unforgettable Jamaican fruit cake transforms not only the bakery’s fortunes but also the spirit of the community.”

The movie is meant to be heartfelt and a story of “resilience, love and unity,” he wrote.
