World-class ballet dancers bring ‘Swan Lake’ to Miramar stage. How to get tickets

An international ballet troupe is coming to Miramar to perform a classic piece perfect for the holidays as the International Ballet Stars will make a tour stop to perform “Swan Lake.”

“Swan Lake” is a classical ballet featuring the story of Prince Siegfried and Odette the swan, and the fate of their love story.

The performance is scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Miramar Cultural Center with two acts and one intermission. It is suitable for ages 3 and up, and discounts are available for kids from 3 to 12. Tickets start at $25.

The Miramar Cultural Center says on its website that the set will feature “all-new, hand-painted sets and over 200 custom-designed scenery elements, transforming the stage into a dreamlike landscape.”

Enjoy moments such as “Dance of the Little Swans,” choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, featuring Tchaikovsky’s recognizable score.

International Ballet Stars describes itself as made up of world-class dancers from the best ensembles and theaters around the world. This year, they’ve performed “Swan Lake,” “The Nutcracker” and “The Sleeping Beauty.”

A truly international production, the ballet features dancers from countries including Moldova, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Poland, the United States, Japan and Belarus, and principal dancers from Ukraine.
