Get ready for rides, food and games at the St. Stephen Catholic Parish Carnival.

The fun begins on Friday, Jan. 9, for a 10-day run at 2000 State Road 7, and will close Sunday, Jan. 18.

The carnival features classic carnival rides from Hildebrand Amusement Rides, including a ferris wheel, kid-friendly coasters, a pendulum ride and drop tower, as shown in a promotional video.

The parish has not announced a price of admission, but ride tickets and raffle tickets are now available for purchase.

One raffle ticket is $5 while a book of six tickets is $25, and carnival-goers can enter to win prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250.

Advance ride tickets are available for $25 at the church until 3 p.m. on Jan. 9 and are good for one session.

Pick them up at the St. Stephen Catholic Parish building located at 6044 SW 19th St., around the corner from the carnival grounds.

A church representative told the Miramar News that the carnival is open from 6 to 10 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, and 1 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Each day the carnival will have classic fair food such as funnel cake, and kid-friendly activities, too.
