On Saturday, the city is offering a yoga class and its first mommy and me picnic event.

Here are some of the events happening in Miramar on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29:

Saturday

Free Yoga Saturdays — 10 to 11 a.m.

Hosted by Mayor Wayne M. Messam, this class is held outdoors in the Miramar Cultural Center botanical garden. Make sure to bring your own mat and fill out the city’s waiver in advance.

Bloom Into Better Health — 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This women’s health brunch is hosted by Memorial Healthcare System and Empowered To Thrive, Inc., and focuses on prevention, education and resources. The city is helping provide a mammography van, a primary care mobile health center, a light brunch and free childcare at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex. Register on Eventbrite and select what kind of care you’re interested in.

Chess Club — Noon to 2 p.m.

The Miramar Chess Club is meeting at the Miramar Branch Library. If you’re looking to learn more about the game or enjoy a casual round of play, the club is welcoming to newcomers. Meetings are on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Mom & Me En Blanc — 4 to 7 p.m.

Spots are open for this Dinner En Blanc spinoff for moms and children.
