Need family dinner on Christmas Day in Miramar? These restaurants are open
Not everyone wants to cook on Christmas Day, and some restaurants are known for staying open to accommodate families that like to eat out.
This year, Miramar has several options for many different tastes, from famous chains such as Benihana to local eateries such as Rosalia’s Kitchen.
Here are some restaurants that are open on Christmas Day in Miramar:
Benihana — 3261 SW 160th Ave.
Benihana is all ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with a special prix fixe menu. Starting at $39 per adult, get the full hibachi experience and the theatrics from the chefs, plus some seasonal items beyond the usual Japanese fare. Enjoy their cornbread and sausage stuffing with cranberry orange sauce. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
El Churrascaso Grill — 11608 City Hall Promenade
This Brazilian fusion restaurant is known for its range of meat options, including steak, shrimp, octopus and lamb. Sit at the bar, a table or on the patio of this steakhouse to eat meals such as lamb chops and filet mignon. The eatery is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Rosalia’s Kitchen — 12130 Miramar Parkway
Rosalia’s Kitchen offers a Christmas meal and a Christmas atmosphere. The restaurant is famous for its holiday decorations that span the entire restaurant, creating a festive feel. It’s an Italian-Mediterranean fusion spot that also offers menu items just for Christmas. There’s a Xmas Tree Spaghetti that’s appropriately red and green, and Santa’s Lobster Ravioli. Its holiday hours are brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 11 p.m. through Dec. 31.
Silver Spoon — 2929 SW 160th Ave.
Silver Spoon is known for its Thai food and large range of sushi options. Located in the Fountains of Miramar, this restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Expect classic Thai dishes like pad thai and panang curry. Silver Spoon is open from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 9:45 p.m.
Sushi Sake — 18415 Miramar Parkway
This Japanese restaurant opened in West Miramar recently, offering a full bar and sushi menu. Besides that, it offers a full hibachi dinner menu with grilled meats, fried meats and teriyaki. The restaurant is inviting guests for Christmas but told the Miramar News that hours are still being decided.
The Pita Shop — 3448 Red Road
If you’re looking for something a bit more casual, get some Mediterranean food at The Pita Shop. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., this location offers Mediterranean classics such as gyro with different meats, pita, kabob and hummus.
IHOP — 11302 Miramar Parkway or 7990 Miramar Parkway
Miramar has two IHOP locations that are open 24 hours a day, and nothing changes for Christmas Day. Kids eat free from 2 to 10 p.m. Fill up on the usual pancake options or order Christmas dinner.
Zuru Ramen Bar — 11225 Miramar Parkway
If you like comfort food, Zuru Ramen Bar has traditional ramen and Japanese sake for the adults. The restaurant also has locations in Plantation and Boca Raton and is keeping them open for Christmas Day, but closed on Christmas Eve. They’ll be open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
