A 46-year-old woman has died after being trapped inside a Hobe Sound mobile home fire, according to Martin County sheriff's and Fire Rescue officials.

Misty Dawn White died after a fire started just after 3 p.m. June 29 inside her mobile home near the 7000 block of Southeast Cactus Trail in Hobe Sound, said sheriff's spokesperson Christine Christofek.

When Fire Rescue crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming out of all doors and windows, according to Fire Rescue officials.

Crews quickly entered, found an unresponsive person later identified as White, helped her and extinguished the flames, according to officials.

White sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by ground to the hospital, where she died later that same day, according to officials.

A preliminary investigation determined the fire likely was caused by an electrical issues, Christofek said. No foul play was suspected.

The State Fire Marshal was investigating the cause of the fire.
