PenAir Credit Union (PenAir) celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand opening of its newest branch in Fort Walton Beach on June 17.
The new branch, at 80 Eglin Parkway NE, opened to members on May 18.
"The ribbon cutting ceremony brought together PenAir leadership, the board of directors, local officials, community partners and members to commemorate this important investment in the Fort Walton Beach community," a news release says.
The ceremony featured remarks from the following:
- Derrick Aguilar, senior vice president and chief experience officer
- Lee Morgan, president and CEO
- Stephanie Oram, board chair
- Janey Rynearson, ambassador chair of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce
"This new branch represents more than just a new location. It's an extension of our commitment to serve and support the Fort Walton Beach community," Morgan said in the release. "We are proud to continue growing alongside our members and investing in the communities we call home."
As a part of the opening, PenAir presented a donation to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and delivering beds to children in need.
"Designed with the member experience in mind, the Fort Walton Beach branch blends innovative technology with personalized service to create a welcoming, efficient environment," the release says. "PenAir's expansion into Fort Walton Beach reflects its continued focus on strategic growth and deepening its presence in Okaloosa County and surrounding areas."
Last year, PenAir announced its planned move to establish a branch in Panama City Beach. Separately, PenAir announced an agreement to purchase Service 1 Federal Credit Union's branch in Mobile, Alabama.
According to its website, PenAir has 16 branches in Northwest Florida, Southern Alabama and Roanoke, Virginia.
