Florida events to celebrate July 4 on the Treasure Coast

As Fourth of July weekend approaches, it's the perfect time to make plans with family and friends.

There are a lot of celebrations across St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River counties on July 3 and 4. Many of the events will have food, fireworks and live music.

Here are the 4th of July events TCPalm found across the Treasure Coast.

St. Lucie County July 4 events

Tradition's Homegrown 4th of July Celebration

  • When: 5-9 p.m. July 4
  • Where: 10489 S.W. Meeting Street, Port St. Lucie
  • What: Tradition in Port St. Lucie hosts an annual Fourth of July festival in Tradition Square with food, fireworks and live music.

St. Lucie Mets Independence Day Celebration

  • When: July 3
    • Softball game - 1 p.m.
    • Homerun derby - 3:30 p.m.
    • Mets game - 6:10 p.m.
  • Where: Clover Park, 31 N.W. Stadium Dr., Port St. Lucie
  • What: The St. Lucie Mets are hosting 4th of July celebration which includes a softball game, homerun derby, a Mets game, followed by fireworks and an auction featuring autographed jerseys.

Stars Over St. Lucie

  • When: 6-9:30 p.m. July 4
  • Where: Fort Pierce Marina Square, 1 Avenue A, Fort Pierce
  • What: Downtown Fort Pierce also hosts an annual 4th of July celebration. This year, a giant American flag will be displayed along the waterfront and fireworks will start flying at 9 p.m. There will be food, drinks and family fun.

Patriotic Boat Parade

  • When: 11 a.m. July 4
  • Where: Boats will gather at the Fort Pierce Turning Basin just north of the South Causeway Bridge at 10:30 a.m.
  • What: Fort Pierce Yacht Club's 16th annual event where boats are decorated in red, white and blue. Boaters should use Channel 81 to communicate.

Martin County July 4 events

Stuart's Annual July 4th Celebrations

  • When: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 4
  • Where: Riverwalk Stage and Flagler Park, 201 S.W. Flagler Ave., Stuart
  • What: This year will be Stuart's fourth time hosting a July 4th golf cart parade during their annual celebration, beginning with the parade at 10 a.m., then activities for kids, then live music, a movie in the park and food trucks. Fireworks will end the night at 9 p.m.

Farm Jam & Fireworks at Newfield

  • When: 5:30-9 p.m. July 3
  • Where: Newfield Farm, 1050 S.W. Prairie Ave., Palm City
  • What: Newfield Farm is hosting a July 4th celebration which will include live music from a local band, local food trucks, lawn games and a fireworks display.

Indian River County July 4 events

Sebastian Freedom Festival

  • When: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 4
  • Where: Morning parade starts at Sebastian Community Center, ends at Riverview Park on U.S. 1 and County Road 512
  • What: Sebastian will host its 55th annual all-day Freedom Festival this year with a parade, fireworks, Hula-Hoop contest, balloon toss contest, karaoke contest, food, vendors and live music. The celebration will start at 8:30 a.m. with a parade and end at 9 p.m. with fireworks. The parade will start at the Sebastian Community Center and end at Riverview Park.

Pioneers to Paradise Parade

  • When: 10 a.m. to noon, then 4-9 p.m. July 4
  • Where: 2046 14th Ave. Main Street in downtown Vero Beach
  • What: On May 7, Vero Beach launched its protracted U.S.A. All Day celebration, which will end on the Fourth of July. The celebration has seven days of spread-out events to celebrate the United States. On July 4th, there will be an Independence Day parade, antique car display, birthday cake and art display, food trucks, bounce houses, live music, contests, fireworks and a veterans ceremony, which is being held from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
