Shelves are up at the soon-to-open Dollar Tree at the Fountains of Miramar plaza just west of Interstate 75.

RK Centers announced the lease in a Facebook post on May 16.

“We are super excited to welcome @dollartree to RK Fountains of Miramar located at 3161 SW 160th Avenue, Miramar, FL 33027! They will be joining @marshalls, @rossdressforless @homegoods and more,” the post reads.

Construction has been ongoing for months and has reached the point where workers are installing display racks, shelves and freezers.

RK Centers did not respond to the Miramar News’ request for comment or an opening date, but the sign on the door reads “Dollar Tree Coming Soon” and the door is open to construction deliveries.

This Dollar Tree will take the place of a Pet Supermarket that closed this year. The pet store ran a storewide sale in March, signaling its closing.

Two months later, the national Dollar Tree chain signed a lease for its spot.

This will mark the fourth Dollar Tree in Miramar.

RK Centers also owns the shops next to the Monarch Gardens Dollar Tree location, and is one of the largest owners of retail properties in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The retail group purchased the Fountains of Miramar plaza last year.
