After a two-month holiday hiatus, Miramar City Commission is back in session
After a two-month hiatus, the Miramar City Commission will return to the dais Wednesday, Jan. 21, for its first meeting of 2026 after a break that stretched through the holidays.
The 7 p.m. meeting at City Hall marks the first time the commission has convened since Nov. 17 — that’s 65 days ago.
Commissioners are set to take up a mix of routine and policy-driven items as the city moves into the heart of its 2026 budget and planning cycle.
Commissioners are expected to consider updates to city infrastructure programs, including continued work on water meter replacements and storm drain work aimed at improving the city’s water infrastructure.
The commission is also scheduled to review contracts and purchasing items, hear departmental updates and address matters related to public services and capital improvements. Officials will discuss improvements to the Miramar Cultural Arts Center and the city’s amphitheater.
