Miramar has two holiday tree lighting ceremonies this year. Here are the details
The City of Miramar is gearing up for the holiday season with different events for the family to enjoy.
This year, there will be two tree lighting ceremonies: One in West Miramar and one in Historic Miramar.
Here are the holiday celebrations taking place in Miramar for the first week of December:
Holiday Tree Lighting — Tuesday, Dec. 2
Miramar will have a tree in front of City Hall in addition to the many holiday decorations across the plaza and town center.
The entire plaza was lit up last year, and this year, the tree lighting — scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. — aims to bring that back.
Families can look forward to live performances and a “special visitor from the North Pole,” the flyer reads.
Miramar’s Very Merry Celebration — Thursday, Dec. 4
The City of Miramar is inviting residents to Shirley Branca Park for a special event featuring live entertainment and a tree lighting.
Attendees — the event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. — are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and come ready to purchase food and drinks.
Most parks in Miramar have holiday decorations in December, and Shirley Branca Park’s tall tree will be one of the highlights.
