If you live in Miramar and wish to apply for a passport for the first time but do not have an appointment, the city is hosting two final opportunities in 2025 for walk-in service at City Hall.

On Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, walk-ins — those without appointments — can turn in their paperwork to apply for a new passport or a renewal, but only for those whose passport has expired for more than five years. Routine renewals must be done by mail.

However, the walk-in service is provided only from 9 a.m. and noon both days.

Normally, applicants must request an appointment weeks in advance to turn in their paperwork and pay their fees. The walk-in opportunity is offered several times per year, in partnership with the U.S. Department of State. This will be the last one this year.
