Miramar woman dies in crash on I-595 ramp, cops say. Sudden swerve investigated

A 22-year-old Miramar woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Davie, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The westbound entrance to southbound I-75 from I-595 was closed on Sunday, Feb. 1, after the crash at 2:14 a.m.

The driver, in a blue Honda Civic, started to enter the ramp to I-75, highway patrol said.

Then, for an unknown reason, she swerved left into the guardrail.

Eventually the vehicle went through the guardrail and collided with a palm tree.

The woman was pronounced dead by Sunrise Police.

The investigation is ongoing, according to FHP.

Next of kin have been notified, but the name of the deceased has not been disclosed as of Feb. 2.
