Walk-Up Food Distribution — Wednesday, Feb. 25

The city hosts this walk-up food distribution periodically, with the most-recent one on Jan. 28. The city partners with organizations such as Goodman Jewish Family Services and Farm Share, which the city works with regularly.

Farm Share works across the state collecting donations from farms, grocery stores, restaurants and similar businesses.

Here is what you can usually find among Farm Share donations:

  • Shelf-stable canned goods
  • Dry pasta or rice
  • Proteins: beef, chicken or pork
  • Vegetables

This food distribution is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. or until all food is distributed at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex. No registration is required.

Emergency Food Pantry — Monday to Friday

The emergency food pantry is open from 2 to 5 p.m. weekdays at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex. Hosted by Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne, this food pantry could include canned goods.

You can schedule an appointment by calling 954-889-2719.
