Jackpot lottery ticket sold in Broward for fourth day in a row. Here’s where
Lottery players in Broward County are on quite a hot streak.
For the fourth day in a row, Broward produced a jackpot win, this time a $50,000 Fantasy 5 prize in the Tuesday, March 3, midday drawing, according to Florida Lottery results.
The winner, who purchased their ticket at the Ideal Food Basket supermarket located at 2750 Davie Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, will split the $100,000 prize with a player who purchased a ticket in Winter Springs, an Orlando suburb.
The winning numbers were 1-5-7-16-23.
The prize marked the county’s fourth straight day with a $50,000 or larger winner in the Fantasy 5 game:
- A $50,000 ticket was sold at a Hispanic grocery store in Margate for the March 2 midday drawing.
- A ticket worth nearly $110,000 was sold at a Walmart in Lauderdale Lakes for the March 1 evening drawing.
- A ticket worth more than $130,000 was sold at a Publix in Oakland Park for the Feb. 28 evening drawing.
In addition to Tuesday’s two Fantasy 5 midday winners, a ticket sold in Madison County, near the Georgia border, won $625,000 in the Jackpot Triple Play drawing.
Fantasy 5 players have the option to choose their own five-digit combination of numbers ranging from one to 36 or have a computer do so. The Fort Lauderdale and Winter Springs winners chose their own combination in hitting the jackpot.
Fantasy 5 drawings happen twice a day. There were no winners in the March 3 evening drawing.
