The Miramar Run Club has moved one of its meetups from Pembroke Pines to Town Center.

Every Monday, the club runs “Set the Pace,” meant for all levels of runners. It has a similar run on Sundays called “Easy on Sunday,” and other runs throughout the week.

The “Set the Pace” group runs at 7 p.m. on Mondays for 30 minutes.

Now that it has secured partnerships with Mayor Wayne M. Messam, the City of Miramar, Memorial Health and Lululemon, the Miramar Run Club has moved that run from Pembroke Gardens to Miramar City Hall.

Other meetups outside of Miramar take place at Vista View Park in Davie and Tequesta Trace Park in Weston.

Speed runs, tempo runs and long runs require a $10 monthly subscription to participate, as the Miramar Run Club says members are joining a structured program. However, Monday’s runs are free.

Messam is well-known for his love for running, often posting his completed runs on Instagram.

He also has hosted eight 5K competitions in the city since he became mayor, the most recent being March 7 in Town Center.

Runners can be found in the same area on Monday, March 9, for the second edition of “Set the Pace” at City Hall.
