Pembroke Gardens will soon welcome an upscale home and kitchen retailer to replace a teen clothing store.

Williams Sonoma is set to move into 14567 SW Fifth St. — the former site of the mall’s Hollister Co. — with plans of opening in the fall, according to a March 24 The Broward Scene Instagram post.

Per the account, signage placed around the storefront by the plaza’s team announced the store’s upcoming arrival and featured a hiring call.

Williams Sonoma is the third retailer set to join Pembroke Gardens in the fall, with The Broward Scene posting on March 22 that a Pottery Barn and West Elm would take over the mall’s previous Barnes & Noble bookstore.

The three retailers were first announced by Pembroke Gardens in late January along with four other soon-to-come brands: JetSet Pilates, Coach, Aerie and Rowan.

Hollister Co. — the teen clothing store that Williams Sonoma will replace — has a sister location at the Pembroke Lakes Mall at 11401 Pines Blvd.

As for how Pembroke Gardens customers feel about the addition? News of the home goods store garnered mixed reactions under The Broward Scene’s March 22 post.

“Pembroke Gardens just keeps getting better and better lately,” commented Joanne R.

“Amazing news! This is a nice upgrade!” wrote Melissa Jane Robertson, a South Florida travel influencer.

Others are skeptical of how Williams Sonoma will fare in the shopping plaza.

“They’re opening wayyyy too many furniture & kitchen stores,” commented Chelsea Vasquez-Lopez.

“Funny, there was a store like this a few years back, it closed. No one cooks any more (these) days,” wrote Willie Colon.

“Gotta have alot alot of money to shop at these new stores,” posted Sara Rodriguez Hopwood.
