New details on memorial services for Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen
Memorial services for Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen have been announced by Coral Springs Funeral Home.
A public visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, followed by a celebration of life at 12:30 p.m. Both will be located at Church by the Glades, Metayer’s home church.
The Coral Springs News has confirmed that attendees will be able to pay their final respects to Metayer as they exit the service.
“The city encourages all who wish to honor Vice Mayor Metayer to do so, not only in remembrance, but also by carrying forward the values she embodied — uplifting others, making space at the table, serving with compassion, and working toward a more sustainable future,” a statement from the City of Coral Springs says.
Organizers encourage attendees to carpool and arrive early to ensure they have a place to park.
Friends of the family have also launched a GoFundMe campaign to support the Nancy Metayer Endowment.
