On the job hunt? Miramar to host free job fair connecting residents and employers
The City of Miramar is hosting a community job fair to give residents the chance to meet with employers from a variety of industries.
The free event, organized by Commissioner Yvette Colbourne, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Miramar Cultural Center Banquet Hall at 2400 Civic Center Place.
Colbourne said at Wednesday’s City Commission meeting the event is designed to help residents connect directly with companies looking to hire, while providing opportunities for networking and career advancement.
“Come on out. I think this will be a great opportunity for those seeking employment,” Colbourne said.
Employers from a wide range of sectors are expected to participate, including healthcare, hospitality, restaurant work, engineering, financial services, dental care, government and technology.
Those seeking employment are encouraged to come prepared with a resume or job history and identification.
