Eight lottery players split jackpot prize — and one ticket was sold in Broward

It was a big night for lottery players across Florida when eight tickets hit the jackpot prize in a single drawing, including one sold in Broward.

The Fantasy 5 players will split a nearly $106,000 prize from the May 26 evening drawing, leaving each of them with 13,236.38, according to the Florida Lottery.

The Broward County ticket was purchased at a Shell gas station at 800 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd. in Hallandale Beach, while one of the other winning tickets from the drawing was sold in Miami.

The winning numbers were 13-20-27-34-36.

The Broward ticket holder chose those numbers themselves, rather than have the machine pick the numbers for them.

Five winners chose the lucky numbers, and three had the numbers randomly generated when they bought their tickets. They all beat the 1-in-376,992 odds of matching all five numbers to win the top prize.

Another recent Fantasy 5 winner holding a Broward County ticket has yet to claim their windfall after winning the top prize in the May 24 evening drawing. That ticket was sold in Margate.

Fantasy 5 drawings happen twice daily, at midday and in the evening.
