An 18-year-old Miramar resident is accused of shooting an 11-year-old girl and her father stuck in the middle of an altercation outside a McDonald’s, according to Hallandale Beach police.

The family was caught in the crossfire of the shooting while they were waiting in their car for their food in Hallandale Beach on June 27, records show.

Ralph N-Kosi Blue III of Miramar is now charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated battery, police announced June 29.

Surveillance footage obtained by NBC 6 shows a young man or teenager jump out of a car outside a McDonald’s and run toward Blue, who was walking through the parking lot.

Blue opens fire on the other individual, who ducks behind a car, before Blue runs inside the building, the video shows.

A family was waiting inside their car for their food when the gunfire erupted, according to police. An 11-year-old girl and her father were both struck, while two other kids in the car ages 2 and 5 were unharmed, investigators said.

Police described the shooting as a “targeted incident.” The father and daughter were hospitalized, and the father had been released as of Monday.

Blue was arrested in Plantation, but his permanent address is listed as Miramar, according to Hallandale police. Investigators confirmed the 18-year-old worked at the McDonald’s, according to an arrest report.

Police are working to identify everyone involved in the shooting and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
