Your guide to Miramar weekend events: Music festival, free food, costume contest
It’s a special weekend for Broward County, with lots of events within the community during Miami Carnival 2025.

Here’s a list of what to pencil into your Oct. 10-11 weekend schedule.
Friday, Oct. 10
One Link Festival – Oct. 10-11
The two-day Caribbean music festival One Link was recently moved from Bayfront Park in Miami to the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater. Headliners Machel Montano, Dexta Daps and DJ Khaled will perform on the amphitheater stage for a crowd of up to 5,000 people, hosted by Carnival participant GenX Carnival.
Seed Library at Miramar Branch Library – Oct. 10-11, all day
Miramar Branch Library is participating in a project with Broward Sierra Group Junior Team to hand out free seed packets. Community members are encouraged to pick up one free packet to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs or native plants.
“By offering seeds to the public, we hope to encourage community members to grow a wider variety of plants, supporting pollinators and local ecosystems, and creating young leaders in conservation and education,” the library website says.
Brunch and Soca – 3-11 p.m.
This brunch gathering travels the world and has landed in Miramar for a Carnival weekend celebration. Eat brunch with views of the park at Miramar Readiness Center and music by DJs from across the Caribbean.
After 7 with Regina Belle – 8 p.m.
Miramar Cultural Center is hosting R&B trio After 7 and Grammy-award winning singer Regina Belle. Tickets for the concert start at $75.
Saturday, Oct. 11
Community Food Drive – 9 a.m.-noon
Get free groceries at this Miramar Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and Farm Share food drive. Held at Lakeshore Park, this drive is first come, first served. Commissioner Carson “Eddy” Edwards will host the event, and the giveaway is open while supplies last.
Pups and Pumpkins – 11 a.m.
Enter your pet in the costume contest at this dog-friendly fall celebration at World of Beer Bar and Kitchen. There will be pumpkin decor, seasonal drinks and one lucky winner.
Tony Succar with Pablo Gil & The Raíces Jazz Orchestra – 8 p.m.
Miramar Cultural Center and BBmusik present a Latin jazz experience with Tony Succar, a 2025 Grammy winner for best tropical Latin album. He is joined by The Raíces Jazz Orchestra directed by maestro Pablo Gil, and the concert is part of the city’s Hispanic heritage month celebrations.
