Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Tamela Mann will make a stop at the Miramar Cultural Center on Friday, Nov. 7, for a “night of praise and worship,” city officials announced on Oct. 22.

Mann finished “The Live Breathe Fight Tour” this summer and continues to perform songs from her album “Live Breathe Fight.”

The concert, hosted by Miramar Commissioner Avril Cherasard, is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

“If you are a gospel music lover then you must already have your tickets, there’s no reason you don’t,” she said at a commission meeting Oct. 15. “I’d love to see everyone there.”

Mann and husband David are well-known gospel singers originally from the group Kirk Franklin and the Family. Many recognize them as Cora and Mr. Brown from the movie “Meet the Browns” and many other Tyler Perry-created films.

Mann holds a Grammy award for Best Gospel Performance/Song for “God Provides,” but her most famous song is “Take Me to the King,” which received double platinum certification in 2023 with more than two million copies sold since its release in 2012.

She is also known for her songs “Superheroes Prayer” and “Change Me.”

Mann will bring special guest VaShawn Mitchell, singer of “Nobody Greater,” to the Miramar Cultural Center stage.

“You can only leave there feeling better than you came,” Cherasard said.

Tickets are on sale from $75-$100.
