This Valentine’s Day, catch Teddy Riley, pioneer of New Jack Swing, at the Miramar Cultural Center.

Tickets are on sale for MCC Presents: Teddy Riley and Friends from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14.

The singer, producer and songwriter is bringing back favorites from the 1980s and ‘90s, including songs from the two groups he led — Blackstreet and Guy.

Guy 2.0, Riley’s latest iteration of the group, will take the stage for songs such as “I Like” and “Groove Me.”

Other features from that era performing are Shai, Kut Klose and Wreckx-N-Effect.

“The night brings the hits that defined a generation, from ‘No Diggity’ and ‘Rump Shaker’ to the smooth harmonies of ‘If I Ever Fall in Love’ and ‘I Like,’” the Miramar Cultural Center wrote.

“If I Ever Fall in Love” is Shai’s most famous hit.

Kut Klose is the singing trio known for their album and hit single “Surrender,” and Wreckx-N-Effect debuted with “New Jack Swing,” christening Riley’s signature style. Most know them for their rowdy Hip-hop song, ‘Rump Shaker.’

Tickets range from $75 to $125 at MiramarCulturalCenter.org.
