With Independence Day this weekend, there isn’t much to do but celebrate.

It’s the 250th anniversary of the United States and Miramar Regional Park is offering its free annual fireworks.

Another free offering is a FIFA World Cup round-of-16 watch party.

And don’t forget about the free classes offered by the city every week.

Here are events happening in Miramar from Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5:

Friday

Low-impact aerobics — 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Hosted by Commissioner Yvette Colbourne, these free exercise classes are a welcoming environment for all. Low-impact aerobics focus on moves that are easy on the joints, so you can still break a sweat without jumping. This chance to work out and connect with others is held at the Vernon E. Hargray Youth Enrichment Center.

World Cup watch party — 8 p.m.

Miramar Regional Park is offering you a seat to watch two games on Friday: Argentina vs. Cape Verde at 6 p.m. and Colombia vs. Ghana at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are free and required for admission, and parking is $10. Expect food, music and a screen under the amphitheater to watch the games.

Saturday

FREE Yoga Saturdays hosted by Mayor Messam — 10 to 11 a.m.

This yoga class takes place at the Miramar Cultural Center botanical garden, with plenty of space for you to bring your mat and stretch. Follow along with the instructor’s moves that are made for all levels of yoga experience. Make sure to fill out the city’s activity release form before attending.

July 4 celebration and fireworks display — 4:30 to 10 p.m.

Celebrate America250 at Miramar Regional Park with the city’s fireworks display. The festivities will include food trucks, a DJ, kids zone and more. No coolers, outside food and drink, pets or fireworks are allowed in the park. Gates close at 8:30 p.m. in preparation for the fireworks show. Parking is $10 and can be purchased in advance.

Sunday

World Cup watch party — 4 p.m.

The round of 16 continues on Sunday, with Brazil facing Norway at 4 p.m. and Mexico taking on England at 8, and you can watch the games at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater. Tickets are free and are required for admission. Parking is $10.
