Fans of artesian French pastries, brunch and specialty coffees will soon have a new spot: Vanilla Espresso French Café is scheduled to open the first week of April at Miramar Town Center.

Owners say the new artisan French bakery in a corner spot across from Juice Patties is waiting for a final license before it can open it doors at 11679 City Hall Promenade, a growing live-work-play district near City Hall.

The new location is owned by franchise operators Carlos and Leydis Portal, who said they decided to bring the concept to Miramar after seeing the popularity of the original café in Miami Lakes.

“We picked this spot because it’s a beautiful locale and we think the area will grow,” Carlos Portal told the Miramar News on Thursday, March 12. “We hope to brings a lot of day traffic to the area.”

The Vanilla Espresso menu will feature a mix of breakfast and Sunday brunch favorites, including croisants, pancakes, egg dishes and specialty coffees, along with lunch items such as soups, sandwiches and salads.

The cafe will operate as a fast-casual concept where customers order at the counter and have their meals delivered to their indoor or outdoor table.

The café plans to operate seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Miramar bakery joins a growing number of restaurants opening in Miramar Town Center near City Hall.
