The Chick-fil-A at Miramar Parkway and Dykes Road has been sharing updates on its renovations in a series of Instagram posts.

The Fountains of Miramar restaurant closed Jan. 16 to refurbish its parking lot, drive-thru lane and dining area.

On Monday, April 6, a new owner and operator was announced for the location: Marisa Beattie. She is a wife and mom of two children originally from South Texas who brings eight years of experience to Miramar.

“For their family, this restaurant is a calling to be a pillar in Miramar — hosting, serving and making a lasting impact in the community they now call home,” the post reads.

The restaurant is scheduled to reopen in May after what was projected to be 17 weeks of construction. This Chick-fil-A was the only one in Miramar before the Flamingo Road location opened with an updated design and multiple drive-thru lanes.

In an April 2 Instagram post, the restaurant confirmed the playground will stay in the dining area, after commenters asked about its status.

“We know how much it means to this community, so we’re giving it a fresh update and getting it ready for opening day!”

Major upgrades have been promised, with an April 1 Instagram post showing a completely gutted restaurant and a new parking lot layout.

Should renovations continue on schedule, the Chick-fil-A could reopen by May 8.
