Two community-focused events are happening in Miramar for residents in need.

Community members can learn about all the services and programs available in the city, pick up free groceries and other resources.

Both events will be held at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex:

Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank Distribution

The Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank is making a stop at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Not exclusive to Miramar residents, this event offers free adult and baby diapers to those in need.

The distribution is in partnership with Memorial Healthcare System’s One City at a Time initiative, which kicked off in Miramar in 2024 and aims to improve the health of the uninsured or underinsured by easing access to resources.

Register in advance at ftldiaperbank.org/events.

Community Resource Expo and Walk-Up Food Distribution

This Saturday, Jan. 24, event is more than just a free food distribution; it also aims to raise awareness on the services available to Miramar residents.

City of Miramar departments will be in attendance to share information, such as Economic Development and Housing, Miramar police, rental/mortgage/gap assistance programs and Broward County services as well.

The event will be held at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Register in advance on Eventbrite.
