Let your voice be heard: Miramar invites moms to free listening session
There are a few ways to talk directly to city government — public comment at commission meetings, constituent Tuesdays with the vice mayor — but the Moms of Miramar event is a unique opportunity.
In an attempt to better listen to this essential part of the constituency, Miramar Commissioner Avril Cherasard is hosting a Moms of Miramar listening session at the City Hall commission chambers from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24.
Volunteers will lead these breakout groups:
- Working and entrepreneur moms
- Wellness and fit moms
- Caregivers and mental load moms
- Advocate and community-focused moms
- Early childhood and school age moms
“Come enjoy this community listening session designed to bring together mothers from across Miramar to share lived experiences, identify shared needs, and build community connection,” the Eventbrite page reads.
If you are a Miramar mom, register there for your group of choice to secure your spot. The first 100 moms at the event will recieve a free Moms of Miramar T-shirt.
This event is for Miramar residents only. Light refreshments will be provided.
