The City of Miramar is inviting residents to a free Super Bowl Watch Party on Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Miramar Cultural Center.

The event, sponsored by Divine 9 and hosted by Miramar Mayor Wayne M. Messam, promises a family-friendly atmosphere with big-screen viewing of Super Bowl 60 between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

Divine 9 are local chapters and members of the nine historically Black Greek letter fraternities and service sororities.

The event is part of Miramar’s broader Black History Month programming and underscores the city’s commitment to community engagement and cultural celebration.

The event will be held indoors at the cultural center — 2400 Civic Center Place — and is open to all. Food and a cash bar are available.

The watch party will run from 5:45 to 10 p.m. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

It is part of a series of events throughout February honoring Black heritage, history and achievement.

For more information, residents can contact the City of Miramar at 954-602-4357 or email omc@miramarfl.gov.
