Inaugural women’s wellness conference is coming to Miramar. Here are the details
The inaugural LOUD Women Rising conference, a wellness-focused event featuring speakers such as Miramar Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne, is coming to the Miramar Cultural Center.
LOUD Women Nation, led by singer and motivational speaker Adrianna Foster, is a women’s emotional wellness organization and this is its flagship event. This community-focused gathering is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21.
“February is a month when heart health and wellbeing are top of mind, and LOUD Women Rising was created to honor the emotional heart of women, their resilience, voice, and capacity to lead with authenticity,” Foster said in a news release.
Vice Mayor Colbourne was chosen because of her “leadership rooted in service, advocacy, and community impact,” according to Foster’s Instagram announcement. The event is also sponsored by Commissioner Maxwell Chambers.
Other guests include Emmy Award-winning journalist Reizel Larrea-Alvarez, and energy expert and mindfulness coach Carolina Williams, who specializes in somatic work.
The program will feature talks, somatic and mindfulness workshops, connection circles and a motivational concert, some of which will be outdoors.
“This experience is about creating space for women to reconnect with themselves and rise in every area of their lives,” Foster said.
General admission is $197, and a VIP experience for $296 includes a Friday, Feb. 20, evening experience of acupressure, movement therapy, breathing practices, meditation and sound healing.
