One of Florida’s fastest-growing meal prep companies, Ideal Nutrition, has opened a new location in Miramar, another sign of how the city continues to attract new businesses and entrepreneurs.

The new store, located at 3 Main St. in Town Center, reflects a broader shift toward healthier dining options in a city with relatively few health-conscious alternatives to traditional fare.

Customers can find fresh, ready-to-eat meals starting at $8.49 that can be heated in-store, taken to go or delivered through a subscription service.

The business held its grand opening Wednesday, April 8, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local leaders, underscoring Miramar’s growing emphasis on supporting small businesses and attracting entrepreneurs — a theme that has been increasingly discussed at City Commission meetings.

Earlier this month, the city hosted an entrepreneurship boot camp that drew strong public attendance.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, three of the city’s four commissioners were present, along with a state representative and members of the Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce.

Among the dignitaries were Commissioner Avril Cherasard, Commissioner Maxwell Chambers and Vice Mayor Carson “Eddy” Edwards, as well as state Rep. Robin Bartleman (D- Weston). They welcomed franchise owner Matthew Steinberg to the community.

“We are very excited to be in such an amazing city like Miramar,” Steinberg, the company’s vice president and franchise owner, said during the ceremony. “My wife encouraged me to open one in Miramar. I think she was right.”

Steinberg, a former West Palm Beach police officer, said the company, which opened in 2016, operates 15 locations across Central and South Florida and plans to expand to 30 by the end of the year.

“We are glad you have opened here in our city,” Cherasard said.

State Sen. Barbara Sharief (D- Davie) posted the grand opening on her social media pages.

In Miramar, Ideal Nutrition’s main draw is affordability, with meals alongside a wide selection designed to help customers stay on track with their nutrition goals.

Customers can walk into the store and select meals from large freezers stocked with fresh, healthy options. Ideal Nutrition also operates in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.
