The Rebel Salute music festival will make its debut in the U.S. on Sunday, April 19.

The highly acclaimed Jamaican concert usually takes place at Plantation Cove in St. Ann, but after having to postpone in September due to weather concerns, the festival moved to Miramar Regional Park.

The concert features roots reggae artists Tony Rebel, creator of the festival, and Maxi Priest, and is scheduled to run from 2 to 10 p.m.

Dancehall artist Gyptian is also scheduled to perform, alongside L.U.S.T., Chalice, Rebel Clan, Mikey Spice, Louie Culture and Mykal Rose.

Tony Rebel’s music has a roots reggae vibe, with hits dating to 1993. His most popular songs, “Fresh Vegetable” and “Sweet Jamaica,” popularized his roots-to-dancehall sound.

Rastafarian culture is important to the festival — that’s why there will be no meat, no alcohol, no weapons and no drugs at the event.

There will be a food village and art village with goods for sale. However, the food will be mostly vegetarian.

This year’s festival will also include the Herb Curb, an area dedicated to education on the medicinal and economical aspects of cannabis. This is an adults-only zone featuring medical professional and herb practitioners who can speak more to the global marijuana industry.

Tickets on the festival website range from $50 to $110.
