Meanwhile, a restaurant is hosting a business social, and down the road a wine store is offering an affordable wine tasting.
Check out some of the events happening in Miramar from Monday, Feb. 16, through Thursday, Feb. 19:
Tuesday
ZUMBA at Town Center Plaza — 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Free Zumba takes place once a week in the city, happening outdoors at Town Center Plaza. This is a free class with Gaby Zumba Fit that’s made to help you move, even if you don’t know how to dance. Bring water and get ready to sweat to the music.
Wednesday
Wine Down Wednesday: Miramar Business Social — 7 to 8:30 p.m.
This business social happens at Sushi Sake, sponsored by LegalShield. Join the group and wine down for a $7.68 entry fee. Meet other entrepreneurs, professionals and business owners and see what connections can take your work to the next level. Legal Shield will also do a presentation on how to protect your professional work.
Thursday
Doing Business With South Africa — 9:30 a.m.
The Broward County Office of Economic & Small Business Development is coming to the Miramar Cultural Center to host an educational presentation on export and investment opportunities in South Africa. You can meet with a representative from the Select Florida Office located in South Africa, and learn about opportunities such as agriculture, mining, green technology, tourism and other topics. Entry is free but space will be limited. RSVP before Wednesday, Feb. 18.
ABC Miramar Parkway Premium Wine Tasting Experience — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
If you’re into wine and cocktails, this tasting is $15. Spots fill up fast, and ABC offers a wide selection of wines and spirits to try. If you end up liking one, take it home with $5 off your purchase of $25 or more. Tickets are presold and sales end the day before the event, but there is still a chance of walking in depending on store capacity.
‘Muertas de la Risa’ — 8 p.m.
A night of comedy in Spanish awaits at the Miramar Cultural Center. The stars of “Yo soy Betty, la fea,” Lorna Cepeda and Natalia Ramírez, take the stage to tell a story of two rivals in “Muertas de la Risa.” As they approach the morgue to find their loved one, they discover they have more in common than they thought. Tickets range from $46 to $103.
Line Dancing at Vernon E. Hargray Youth Enrichment Center — 6 to 8 p.m.
Line dancing classes continue in Miramar with instructor Jammin Jamei, who hosted the Sneakers on the Ground series. Catch her every Thursday teaching dances to popular songs and helping the group work up a sweat. The class is free, all you need to bring is water.
