After nearly five months of renovations, the Chick-fil-A at Fountains of Miramar is finally reopening.

The restaurant closed for renovations on Jan. 16 and began construction on the interior, parking and drive-thru lane.

Chick-fil-A has announced it will reopen its doors to the public on Thursday, June 18, at 6:30 a.m. to reveal its “extensive remodel,” according to a June 11 news release.

In April, the location also announced a new owner and operator, Marisa Beattie.

“To celebrate, Beattie and team are inviting the community to show their spots at a Moove-In Party on opening day,” the release says. “Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.”

Beattie expressed her excitement, saying, “The South Florida community has always brought so much warmth and energy to this restaurant, and we’re grateful to be part of it.”

Among the changes is an update to the children’s playground and dining area, as well as drive-thru lanes that match those of the newer locations, such as the restaurant at Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road.

The location will now offer Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru for guests who order ahead on the Chick-fil-A app.

In addition to dining in, customers can also enjoy third-party delivery, curbside and mobile pick-up.

Chick-fil-A team members have had to get creative to stay cool while taking drive-thru orders outdoors. Now, there are permanent outdoor canopies for face-to-face ordering.

To give back to Miramar, Beattie will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which partners with local nonprofits to redistribute extra food.
