Miramar is bringing a new set of celebrity speakers to its First Fridays: Network and Chill event.

Felecia Hatcher, CEO of Black Ambition, and Pinky Cole, owner of the Slutty Vegan restaurant chain, will headline the event at the Alan B. Levan NSU Broward Center of Innovation on Friday, Dec. 5, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Hosted by Miramar Mayor Wayne M. Messam and the Miramar Economic Development and Housing Department, the event is geared toward Millennials and Gen Z, ages 21 to 40, who are interested in entrepreneurship, side-hustling and creative work.

The Black Ambition Opportunity Fund is a nonprofit created by musician Pharrell Williams that awards funding and provides mentorship to Black entrepreneurs. Formerly a marketing executive with a long resume, Hatcher heads the organization and is now a public speaker and author.

Cole started Slutty Vegan, the vegan burger restaurant in Atlanta, in 2018, and has since expanded to six locations, including one in Brandon, Florida.

“She’s a culinary disruptor in the industry, transforming America’s view of plant-based fast food and striving to make plant-based eating delicious, accessible and enjoyable for vegans and flexitarians alike,” the City of Miramar said in a news release.

As with the previous events, attendance is free with RSVP and includes food. The first 100 guests will receive a gift, the event flyer says.

The gathering has featured a wide-ranging cast of guest speakers, including comedian Pretty Vee from “Wild ‘N Out” and Bob Marley’s son and businessman Rohan Marley.
