Family Night in Miramar is back with games and performances. Here are details
Summer nights are better with family, so gather your crew for a fun evening at Family Night at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater.
Hosted by Commissioner Maxwell Chambers, the free event is scheduled for 7 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26. Parking is also free.
The event headliner is The Ashe Company, a Caribbean educational entertainment and theater arts company. It focuses on educating audiences on Afro-Caribbean culture through singing, acting, dancing, drumming and theater.
The Ashe Ensemble is a group of touring professional performers who share their talent across the Caribbean, U.S. and Europe.
“Known for their world-class talent and precision, the Ensemble tours both locally and internationally, delivering high-impact performances that have earned critical acclaim,” their site reads.
The ensemble recently appeared on Jamaica’s Sunrise on CVM to sing Mother’s Day songs.
Besides live performances, families can enjoy DJs, food trucks, face painting, a game truck and raffles.
If you have a favorite family game, now’s the time to bring it. In previous years, families have played UNO, Jenga and Connect Four with friends they meet at the event.
