It’s a busy week in Miramar with lots of events to finish out October.

If you’re looking to get into the Halloween spirit, there are family-friendly outings all week — plus, the city’s community gatherings and meetings, including the State of the City address.

Take a look at this week’s events from Oct. 28-30:

Tuesday

Historic Miramar Advisory Board Meeting — 6:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Building, Planning and Zoning department, this group meets to discuss the historic part of the city. They advise the city commission on infrastructure improvements, future development and other quality of life issues in the area. Participants can meet in the multi-purpose room at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex or attend virtually at miramarevents.webex.com.

Constituent Tuesday with Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Get a chance to speak directly with the vice mayor about any issue and receive resources. This event happens on the fourth Tuesday of each month in various locations, and October’s installment of Constituent Tuesdays will take place at City Hall. The vice mayor said in a flyer that it is a day for listening through one-on-one meetings that help her better understand the priorities of residents. Make an appointment on Eventbrite.

Multimodal Mobility Master Plan workshop — 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The city is asking for community engagement in improving transportation safety on Miramar Parkway east of Douglas Road. At the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex, the city will gather feedback from residents on what makes them feel safe.

Trunk or Treat at Texas Roadhouse — 5 to 8 p.m.

Texas Roadhouse is hosting its annual trunk-or-treat event. Kids can enjoy a bounce house, pumpkin painting, a photo booth, snowcones, music and candy from decorated trunks. Attendees must dine in or order to-go to participate, and costumes are encouraged.

Horror Movie Trivia at World of Beer Bar and Kitchen — 7 p.m.

Test your knowledge of slasher films and ghost stories at World of Beer’s trivia night — now with a spookier theme.

Wednesday

Mobile Medical Clinics for Adults and Children — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Memorial Healthcare Services and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital are bringing their mobile health care buses back to Miramar one last time for this month. Catch them at the Alexandra P. Davis Multi-Service Complex at for services like general medical exams, prevention screenings and other walk-in healthcare services.

Dance with the Stars: Halloween Zumba Masterclass — 6 to 9 p.m.

This is a chance to dance in costume with a lineup of three Zumba dance instructors. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite celebrities and follow along with the dance moves at the Sunset Lakes Community Center.

Thursday

Tax Collector’s Office — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On the last Thursday of every month, Broward County Tax Collector Abbey Ajayi comes to Miramar for in-person services with Miramar residents and neighboring communities. Learn about property tax discounts, sign up for a payment plan or enroll in e-billing. To make an appointment at Miramar Police Headquarters, email mdiago@browardtax.org or call 954-872-4594.

State of the City Address — 6:30 p.m.

Mayor Wayne M. Messam’s State of the City address is themed “Our Future Together.” In this yearly speech, the mayor gives updates on the city’s progress, economy, new developments and plans for the future. This year, Messam will celebrate his achievements over his last decade as mayor.

TOBY: A Tribute to Toby Keith — 7:30 p.m.

This tribute band is playing all of country star Toby Keith’s hits. Starring Hollywood Yates, the band will perform Keith’s music at the Miramar Cultural Center. Classic Keith songs on the set list include “How Do You Like Me Now,” “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and “I Love This Bar.”
