Miramar has a variety of events this weekend, whether you’re looking for something entertaining or looking for ways to get involved in the community.

The holiday season means events geared toward Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the way. See how you can get tickets to shows or take the family to a new experience.

Here are some of the events happening in Miramar from Friday, Nov. 14, through Sunday, Nov. 16.

Friday

A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage — 7:30 p.m.

Join Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang for a musical presentation of the famed “A Charlie Brown Christmas” TV special on stage at the Miramar Cultural Center. Made for the whole family to enjoy, this show features actors in the classic character outfits of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy, Sally and more acting out the story of Charlie finding the meaning of Christmas. Tickets are $25 before taxes.

Saturday

The Willie Rawls Jr. Foundation Turkey Festival — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Willie Rawls Jr. Foundation is hosting a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway at River Run Park, and the giveaway is also an event for local families to start enjoying the holiday season. The family field day will have music, food and drinks, plus games and tournaments. Pick up a turkey and stay to enjoy the fun.

International Dance Festival 2025 — 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Taking stage at the Miramar Cultural Center are dancers of different backgrounds and dance styles, with Haitian Konpa at the center of the performance. The International Dance Festival, organized by Hallandale Section Cid-Unesco and the Rhonda Eyes Alliance, brings together multiple types of dances from countries like Haiti, India and Mexico. Tickets start at $50 before taxes.

Sunday

Road Kings of Hollywood Classic Car Show — 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Texas Roadhouse Miramar is hosting a classic car show in its parking lot, featuring its mascot Andy Armadillo. This is a family-friendly event featuring arts and crafts, music and Texas Roadhouse food. To eat at this event, attendees are encouraged to sign up for the waitlist in advance.

A New World: Intimate Music From Final Fantasy — 6 p.m.

Experience this classic video game series’ soundtrack with a classical twist at the Miramar Cultural Center. Final Fantasy music will be performed by an orchestra that has toured playing much of the music before, giving audiences an intimate experience of the games in a new way. Tickets start at $67 before taxes.

Multiple days

Florida United Netball Extravaganza — 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday

Netball Extravaganza is a two-day competitive event that costs $10 per person per day. There will be all-female and mixed divisions playing at the Vernon E. Hargray Youth Enrichment Center. The event is hosted by Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne and Commissioner Maxwell Chambers.
