This weekend in Miramar: Three flavors happy hour, food fest, salsa dancing & more

Explore the many opportunities to have fun in Miramar this weekend.

Juana’s Latin Sports Bar & Grill is hosting a salsa night with a full band, and Juici Patties is holding a happy hour around the corner.

There are two City Hall events on Saturday — one offering free Caribbean food and the other giving out free financial advice.

Check out some of the events happening in Miramar on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13:

Friday

Low Impact Aerobics — 9 a.m.

Join a workout class that welcomes and accommodates all. Low impact aerobics focuses on moves that don’t involve jumping to keep pressure off of the joints. Work up a sweat at the Vernon E. Hargray Youth Enrichment Center once a week for free.

One Happy Hour Three Flavors — 5 to 9 p.m.

The Hibiscus Room in Miramar is an event space in the Juici Patties Town Center. They’ve expanded this Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce event to welcome all to experience local restaurants. Juici Patties, Cleveland’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream and LUME Bistro & Lounge will bring their best for you to try. There will also be Jamaican Ludi Board games, dominoes and card games.

Saturday

FREE Yoga Saturdays — 10 to 11 a.m.

The Miramar Cultural Center botanical garden hosts a free yoga class every Saturday, and all you have to bring is your mat and water. This outdoors flow welcomes all levels. Make sure to fill out the release form on Eventbrite.

Real Estate & Financial Summit — 2 to 5 p.m.

Sponsored by Commissioner Avril Cherasard, this event at City Hall brings together industry experts to discuss building and maintaining wealth, whether that be for retirement or through real estate. Attend for free to get advice on investing, mortgages, financial planning and insurance. Experts include real estate agents, attorneys, financial advisors and brokers. Register on Eventbrite.

Taste of the Caribbean Islands — 5 to 10 p.m.

Get samples from several local eateries at this food festival in front of City Hall. Taste Caribbean foods from Trinidadian, Jamaican, Dominican, Bajan and Cuban cultures, plus many more. Caribbean DJs will add a musical element to the night. Enjoy the food for free by registering on Eventbrite.

David Lucca y Los Clásicos De La Salsa — 7 p.m.

Juana’s Latin Sports Bar & Grill is having a salsa night featuring David Lucca and a full orchestra. Get ready to dance, eat and drink at this event space with no cover charge.
